FOLK
INSTRUMENTS
Making
music often helps us express ourselves in ways that words alone sometimes
can't. Yet many people feel that they can't take part in making music
because they're intimidated by the notion of learning to read music.
But there are instruments that do not require you to read music in order
to play them. We're talking about some of the folk instruments such
as dulcimers and psalteries.
Follow
the links to find information about these easy to play folk instruments.
With the advent of a play-by-the-numbers system combined with the inherent
simplicity of most folk instruments, it is more than a possibility to
consider yourself playing an instrument if you don't want to learn to
read music.
Though
they are easy to make some simple tunes on, mountain dulcimers, hammered
dulcimers, bowed psalteries and even the very easy lap harp need not
be boring to play. The are limited only by the players imagination.
